Finally made it &#8220;tick&#8221; again with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kurokesu.com\/shop\/cameras\/CAMUSB1\">C1 camera<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kurokesu.com\/shop\/lenses\/PCBA_CTRL_ZOOM1_BUNDLE\">motorized lens controller<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Replacing imager was a matter of unscrewing old one and screwing on C1 PCB\u00a0 &#8211; mounting hole spacing matched. And talking of controller &#8211; it was not even necessary to adjust motion parameters to make it work, <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/Kurokesu\/motorized_zoom_lens\">stock firmware<\/a> was usable out of the box. To be honest it took longest to solder wires to FFC adapter board.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kurokesu.com\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/IMG_7699_r.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1959 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kurokesu.com\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/IMG_7699_r.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.kurokesu.com\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/IMG_7699_r.jpg 1500w, https:\/\/www.kurokesu.com\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/IMG_7699_r-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.kurokesu.com\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/IMG_7699_r-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.kurokesu.com\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/IMG_7699_r-1024x683.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a>Lens has few features that was pleased to discover:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Limit switches (opto-interrupters)!<\/li>\n<li>There is no backlash or hysteresis in motion platform<\/li>\n<li>Switchable 650nm LOW pass filter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is possible to calibrate lens for super fast zoom re-adjustment while keeping focus locked.
