MIPI CSI-2 Camera Modules

CSI-2 camera modules are compact 4-lane MIPI CSI-2 cameras for Raspberry Pi and Jetson platforms. The family uses a standard 22-pin 0.5 mm CSI-2 connector together with a dedicated 5-pin connector for synchronization signals, and the modules share the same 26 × 26 mm board format across the range.

Sensor options cover different imaging priorities within the same mechanical platform: AR0234 for global-shutter high-speed capture, IMX462 for low-light 1080p imaging, IMX477 for 12.3 MP high-resolution video, AR0822 for 4K and HDR-capable systems, IMX283 for 20 MP 1-inch imaging, and IMX585 for very low-light 4K imaging. IMX585 is a 1/1.2-type 8.4 MP Sony STARVIS 2 sensor, and it is widely regarded for low-light work; outside embedded and industrial imaging, IMX585-based cameras are also commonly used in astronomy and discussed for EAA, planetary, and deep-sky imaging. Filter configuration varies by variant, including standard visible-light use, no-filter options, and other application-specific choices configured in the product selection. Suitable for embedded vision, robotics, machine vision, industrial inspection, and custom imaging systems where consistent mechanics and CSI-2 integration matter.

Kurokesu I-PEX CSI-2 cable kits are designed for compact camera systems that need better cable durability, shielding, and routing flexibility than standard FFC cables. They adapt Kurokesu 22-pin, 0.5 mm pitch, 4-lane CSI-2 camera modules to the I-PEX CABLINE-UA II micro coax format, making them especially suitable for moving assemblies such as gimbals, robotic arms, inspection tools, and other space constrained embedded systems. The kit is available as adapter boards only or with optional 20 cm or 30 cm micro coax cable, giving flexibility for different mechanical layouts and integration needs. Kurokesu Slim FPC cables are compact impedance controlled flexible printed cables for MIPI CSI-2 camera connections. With a 4 mm width and a 4 layer construction with dedicated ground planes, they are designed for compact assemblies where signal integrity, reduced crosstalk, and predictable routing matter. They use the 22-pin, 0.5 mm pitch format used by Kurokesu CSI-2 camera modules, with all four CSI-2 lanes routed. Compared with standard FFC cables, the slim format is aimed at applications where installation space is limited but a flat flexible interconnect is still preferred over micro coax. This makes them a practical option for embedded vision systems, robotic assemblies, inspection equipment, and other compact high speed imaging setups.
